In a recent post by New York Post blogger Reed Tucker interviewing Todd Black about his upcoming "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3" adaptation, Tucker managed to squeeze in a few questions pertaining to the upcoming "Spider-Man 4". Here's what we got out of his useful, yet vague, comments:
-Kirsten Dunst is on board. While there was some speculation originally, she is definitely set to reprise her role as Mary Jane Watson.
-The script does not feature a wedding scene between Peter Parker and Mary Jane. I guess we'll see their strained relationship strained out a little longer before they tie the knot.
-Even with the hot vampire fad in cinema these days (you know, that movie about the vampire named Twilight...), it appears that once rumored Morbius the vampire will not be the central villain. Instead, Tucker hints that the *lone* villain will be someone very important to New York. While he says the actual villain hasn't been picked yet, this brings up an array of possibilities. My best bet is Kingpin, but this could run into copyright issues with the infamous "Daredevil" film. It looks like we'll have to keep speculating and wait for an announcement soon.
